Ivy Defino, CPA, has been practicing public accounting since
1985. Based on experience gained through over 20 years of
management and staff accounting positions with public accounting
firms in South Florida, Ivy established Ivy Lynn Defino, CPA, PA
in 2006.
Ivy holds a CPA license in Florida. She is also the National
President of the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public
Accountants. Ivy is originally from Boston, but has spent the
majority of her life in Florida. She received her education from
Florida Atlantic University and graduated with a BA in Business
Administration. She then continued her education at Nova
University graduating with a Master of Accounting Degree.
Ivy holds memberships with both the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute
of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
She has been a member of the American Woman’s Society of
Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA) since 1998 and is a Past
President of the South Florida Affiliate. Ivy is also a member
of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and
the Greater Sunrise Chamber of Commerce.
Ivy has been a speaker on tax topics and issues, and has been
published in her firm’s newsletter. |
